Issues surrounding gender fluidity have been an important topic of conversation these past few years.

Whether one is young or old, those who don’t identify with their physical gender are encouraged to choose a gender identity that better suits them. Makeup artist Vinny Ohh has a unique outlook on this. He doesn’t identify with being a man or woman, or a human being for that matter, and as such has gone through extraordinary lengths to look the part of ‘an extra-terrestrial hot mess’ as he calls himself.

From cheek and lip fillers to botox, Vinny has gone through a wide assortment of plastic surgery to fulfill his inner beauty.

Vinny received his first plastic surgery when he was 17 years old and he has been under the knife ever since.

Hailing from Los Angeles in California, Vinny always felt like an outcast as a child. Due to these feeling as a child, he learned to love himself for who he is by being confident and brave in his own skin. According to Vinny, ever since he was a teen he’s wanted to change.

“I wanted to be sexless and gender-less since I was 17. I’ve been going to doctors to see if it’s possible but had no luck.” Now, 24, Vinny is coming closer to that wish with every additional procedure.

Vinny’s goal is not to change genders (become a woman) but rather he is trying to become ‘a hybrid.’ He doesn’t want to be a man or woman, rather an alien.

He just ‘wants his outside to match how he feels on the inside.’ He identifies more as an alien and to fulfill that look he rocks extreme black contacts and talons on his fingernails.

Vinny goes on to say that he has no need for genitals and getting them removed would only make his life easier since he ‘tucks’ everyday.

His confidence and bravery stems from the fact that ever since he was 16, he’s been wearing full bodysuits and eight-inch platforms out in public. He says that his personal slogan is: ‘extraterrestrial, hot mess, [and] self-obsessed’

His reasoning for wanting to become an alien is actually pretty simple and straightforward.

In an interview, Vinny stated that: ‘I do kind of look like a Martian, I have a really big head, [and] no eyebrows so I’ve just been connecting with that.’

Even though he doesn’t identify as being gay, bi or trans, Vinny is a huge advocate and LGBTQ activist.

He believes that people should not be bound by labels and placed into these boxes of social and gender norms. He believes that individuality should be encouraged.
It is without a doubt that when Vinny steps out in public he receives a lot of stares and maybe some unwanted attention. The dichotomy between the reaction he elicits is pretty extreme.

He says he’s had some parents come up to him and praise him for his confidence while other people have thrown shopping carts at him.
