Most videos of military reunions depict the scene of soldiers coming home or school to surprise their wives and kids with their unexpected arrivals.
One soldier father once surprised his son right before the surgery and the other soldier father went to his daughter’s school and surprised her.
However, The Oprah Winfrey Show turned this reunion the other way around. This is the unexpected emotional moment.

In the Middle East, there are nearly 150,000 US soldiers fighting for us. It is a heroic sacrifice, which they endure the time separated from their loved ones. Some of them had been in Iraq for months even years away from their family and friends.
In 2007, Oprah Winfrey gave a little surprise present for the Marines.
In the video below, 31 Marines return from their 7-month tour of duty in Iraq. Their first stop even before they get home is The Oprah Winfrey Show studio.
These Marines from the 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, Alpha Company, and Naval Corpsmen were invited to the show and take their places on stage.
The audience claps and roars with a cheer for the heroes.
