Brittney Nichols drops her 2-year-old daughter off at Benton Preschool and Childcare every day.
Since her daughter has some health issues due to being born prematurely, she required extra-special care from daycare workers.
One day, Nichols saw her daughter’s daycare worker, Christy Owens, walking to church by herself. Nichols was curious and a bit worried, because everyone would always drive over to the church, since it was located in a sketchy area. When she asked Owens why she was walking, Owens replied that she had no other choice because she didn’t own a car.
That’s when Nichols decided that she needed to do something for Owens, who always cared for her daughter with love.

Nichols said, “every single morning when I drop my daughter off, Christy is full of joy. Christy is always so amazingly happy and kind. She treats the children as if they are her own. They all love her, as do we the parents. I witnessed Christy walking one Sunday in her Sunday dress with her Bible tucked under her arm.”

Nichols knew that she couldn’t carry out her plan by herself, so she asked the entire neighborhood.
She set up a donation for Owens, and went house to house asking for help. When the neighbors heard Nichols’ plan, they all happily chipped in.
Amazingly, enough money was raised! Nichols then surprised Owens with this great news, which left her in tears.
Owens got a pre-owned Chevy Cavelier, pre-paid driving lesson, and the insurance.
