One of the most miraculous moment to a mother is when a baby comes out to the world and hug him or her for the first time.
As soon as a mother gave birth to her baby, she wants to feel her baby.
However, sometimes, it is hard because some babies need to be transferred to NICU for their conditions.
Same thing happened to Jennifer. Almost as soon as her baby girl Jade was born, she had to be taken away from Jennifer. It was brutal for both the mother and the baby. It was a heartbreaking experience for Jennifer to send her newborn baby to the hospital’s NICU.

As Jennifer was not able to spend the whole time with her baby all the time because Jade was at NICU and she felt sorry for the other daughters since she could not spend time with them either.
“I would constantly feel torn between not wanting to leave Jade and not wanting to leave our girls at home,” Jennifer says.
Then, a group of strangers came to the hospital to help her. Mostly women, grandmothers and mothers themselves, entered to help mothers like Jennifer and babies like Jade.
They have one job at the hospital. They hug the little angels at NICU with their warm-hearted arms when their mothers could not.
Huggies reported that hugs can stabilize an infant’s heart rate, help them get weight, increase oxygen levels, and encourage an immune system to be healthier.

It is very surprising that a touch has a dramatic effect on human development.
Unfortunately, some mothers are always available to their premature infants so these “baby cuddler volunteers” are so important.
Jennifer was relieved to know about them. “It helped so much to know that there were people there loving and caring for her,” she says.
