Nancy and Alex teamed up with pet experts to find out what their dog Max does while they’re gone. They set up hidden cameras in their home and then sat down to watch how Max behaved during the day.

It revealed that Max was experiencing separation anxiety, howling for hours on end. He even grabbed his leash off of the shelf hoping that this would bring them home sooner. After pacing the apartment for quite some time, Max finally laid down by the door, continuing to howl.

After reviewing the footage, the group discussed ways they could help Max feel more relaxed during the day. Dr. Emily Blackwell from University of Bristol suggested certain toys and techniques that help dogs relax and relieve stress. One technique is to leave the home slowly instead of abruptly. This helps the dogs feel more prepared for their time alone.
