Maternity photo shoots are always adorable, but this is just a cut above the rest.

There are no babies in this photo shoot, but there are some furry friends and boy do they beat any baby photo shoot I’ve seen.

 

If you are an animal lover you are going to love this!

 

Little sausage dog Lilica poses with her new pups in this never been seen before photo shoot.

 

Think it couldn’t get any better? Rejoice! The newborn pups are also wearing colorful tiny knitted hats!

 

Just when you thought you’d seen it all, these photos, snapped by Brazilian photographer Ana Paula Grillo, aren’t the first taken of Lilica! Before this shoot the pregnant dog proudly displayed her baby bump in all its glory. This mama-to-be set the whole new standard for looking fab.

 

Grillo told Sunny Vibes that the photo shoot lasted only 20 minutes.  “It was amazing, I felt like I understood her completely,” Grillo explained. “She made sensational poses!” The next day, Lilica gave birth to 5 amazing puppies.

Look at these beautiful little pooches all tucked up in their knits. I can’t cope with how cute they are, can you?

While maternity is definitely something worth celebrating, and while all the pups have found homes among Lilica owner’s family members, way too many unfortunate ones end up on the streets.

 

 

Looks like this one strayed from the pack! He is so tiny, it makes my heart melt!

 

 

Thankfully he found his way back! Look at them all snug as a bug in a rug!
